Brainspotting (BSP) was discovered in 2003 by David Grand, Ph.D.
Over 13,000 therapists have been trained in BSP in over 50 countries, all BSP trainers are trained personally by David Grand:
Brainspotting training is available in all the following countries;
Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Ecuador, France, Germany, Hungary, Greece, Iceland, Indonesia, Israel, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Mexico, New Zealand, Norway, Paraguay, Philippines, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, The Netherlands, Turkey, Ukraine, U.S.A., United Kingdom, with several other countries, in the planning stages of hosting a training.
Individual therapists from other countries have travelled from Panama, New Caledonia, and Reunion Island to participate in trainings outside their own countries.
Humanitarian trainings are often held in countries and cities where the participants are in need of pro bono training and support such as; Banda Ache, Indonesia; The Ukraine, EU; Manchester, UK; and India. Phnom Penh, Cambodia will be receiving a humanitarian training with Australian trainers in 2019.
BSP makes use of this natural phenomenon through its use of relevant eye positions. This helps the BSP therapist to locate, focus, process and release a wide range of emotionally and bodily-based conditions.
BSP is also a brain-based tool to support the therapy relationship. We believe that BSP taps into and harnesses the body’s natural self-scanning, self-healing ability.
When a “Brainspot” is stimulated, the deep brain appears to reflexively signal the therapist that the source of the problem has been found. BSP can also be used to find and strengthen our natural resources and resilience. BSP is designed as a therapeutic tool that can be integrated into a many of healing modalities. BSP can also be used with performance and creativity enhancement. BSP is even more powerful when used with the enhancement of BioLateral Sound CDs.
